Nusa Lembongan is 20 kilometers off Bali's East Coast across the Badung strait. It is small island, of around 9 square kms in area, with a local population less than 4,000. Attractions of Nusa Lembongan are it's warm and friendly locals and especially it's surfing and diving locations. The water is crystal clear which makes for excellent snorkeling and the local hotel staff will show you the best locations. With relatively few visitors on the island surfers can enjoy un-crowded breaks on both Lembongan and also Nusa Ceningan, which can be reached across a newly built bridge.
Nusa Lembongan is the subject of strict government control over all commercial development. Accordingly the unspoilt and relaxed atmosphere of the island has been maintained and indeed it's the island's greatest asset
